Phoebe
Founding Incorporator and Chairman
EEVA Connect is her brainchild — a vision she brought to life to make virtual work opportunities reachable, visible, and real, especially for people in rural communities like her hometown in Albay.. She wanted to give back — sharing what she has learned, finding deeper purpose in her life, and helping others embrace the future of work in the digital industry.
Looking Ahead
Her vision is for EEVA Connect to become the leading gateway for Filipinos to start, thrive, and connect in the digital economy — and eventually serve as a bridge for other developing countries.

Roots & Career Start
With more than 15 years in the virtual workspace, she has supported clients across the USA, Canada, Africa, and Australia, taking on roles that range from Executive Virtual Assistance to Project Management.
Before her transition to online work, she spent a decade in accounting and office management within multinational companies CBRE Philippines, Diwa Learning Systems Inc., and D&L Group in Metro Manila. This experience gave her a strong foundation in business operations and organizational systems.
In 2010, she tried her luck with The Remote Staff Australia (Think Innovations, Inc.) as an Online MYOB Bookkeeper. A year later, she joined Upwork, where she began serving more clients from around the world. That was the start of her VA career — a journey where she steadily earned the trust of clients and peers in the global VA space.
A Life-Changing Turning Point
Right before the pandemic, she was invited as a training speaker for a 3-day Zoom webinar for Personal Assistants in Kenya, organized by her client, Winnie Kamuya. The experience proved life-changing. She saw how eager participants were to learn but also how limited their access was to tools, processes, and global exposure compared to Filipino Virtual Assistants.
That moment sparked a bigger vision.
The Birth of EEVA Connect
She realized that while the Philippines has built a strong foundation for digital work, there is still much to be done in building confidence, career direction, and professional community for aspiring VAs — especially those in the provinces, out-of-school youth, working students, PWDs who are mentally capable, and solo parents.
EEVA Connect was born from this vision: to train, support, and celebrate Filipino Virtual Assistants while setting its sights on becoming a bridge for other developing countries in the near future.
From One-Woman Effort to a Movement
What began as a one-woman effort — developing training modules, educating others about the VA industry, and showing how work-from-home careers can be solutions to community challenges — has now grown into a movement.
Today, EEVA Connect is ready to expand through partnerships, larger gatherings, and deeper local impact.
Her journey reflects both the heart and strategy behind this initiative — and serves as an open invitation for others to be part of it.
Impact Goals by 2026
- Train 500 aspiring VAs nationwide
- Host quarterly VA Starter events in Bicol
- Launch the first-ever VA Excellence Awards in the Philippines
- Provide at least 6 laptops to trainees in need
Knowledge at the Core
Alongside her client work and training initiatives, she also spearheaded the creation of the digital magazines — a series of 12 editions featuring her clients and providing valuable insights for Virtual Assistants.
What began as her brainchild quickly grew into a knowledge hub for the VA industry, offering practical guidance, real stories, and tools that both entrepreneurs and VAs could use to thrive. These magazines remain a testament to her vision of making information accessible and opportunities visible for aspiring digital professionals.
Building on the success of these Digital Magazines, she also envisions launching the EEVA Connect Magazine — a local digital publication dedicated to showcasing Filipino Virtual Assistants. This platform will highlight their stories, skills, and successes, giving VAs the recognition they deserve while inspiring others to explore opportunities in the digital workspace.
