About CONNECT

CONNECT was founded on a simple belief that every Filipino deserves access to opportunity, regardless of background, education, or circumstance.

What began as a small effort to guide aspiring Virtual Assistants toward meaningful online work has grown into a broader mission to connect communities to opportunities in the global digital economy. Through training, mentorship, and community partnerships, CONNECT equips individuals with the skills and confidence needed to participate in the growing remote workforce.

Based in Albay in the Bicol region of the Philippines, CONNECT works closely with communities to introduce digital livelihood opportunities and create practical pathways into online work. Our programs support individuals who can benefit from flexible and accessible careers, including persons with disabilities capable of online work, solo parents and single mothers, out of school youth, working students, high school graduates seeking alternative career pathways, and professionals exploring career transitions.

CONNECT also works alongside community leaders and advocates to expand awareness of digital livelihood opportunities and strengthen community support systems.

From this local foundation, CONNECT seeks to unlock the immense talent within Filipino communities and connect that talent to opportunities beyond geographic boundaries. By expanding access to digital skills and remote work, CONNECT aims to help individuals build sustainable livelihoods while uplifting communities across the region.

CONNECT is the public initiative of EEVA Connect, Inc., a registered nonprofit organization in the Philippines.

Our Mission

To connect underserved communities to online opportunities by equipping aspiring Filipino virtual professionals with accessible training, mentorship, and pathways to remote work.

Our Vision

A future where individuals in rural and underserved communities can access meaningful online careers and where the Filipino virtual workforce is recognized as a vital contributor to the global digital economy.

Objectives

  • Introduce the concept of remote work and virtual assistance to underserved and underrepresented communities, particularly in rural and emerging areas.
  • Provide accessible entry level training, orientation, and project based learning for individuals seeking to begin a work from home career.
  • Develop job readiness pathways for aspiring virtual professionals through hands on practice, mentorship, and guided learning.
  • Organize live and virtual learning events featuring global speakers to educate, inspire, and connect aspiring online workers.
  • Recognize excellence in the virtual assistant industry through initiatives such as the VA Excellence Award and Gala Night.
  • Promote local tourism and community pride by hosting events that welcome participants, partners, and speakers from across the country and beyond.
  • Build partnerships with local government units, educational institutions, and organizations to expand community impact.
  • Secure sponsorships to provide laptops and digital tools that help remove barriers to entering the digital workforce.

Why We Exist

The global shift toward remote work has created new opportunities for professionals around the world. However, many Filipinos, particularly in underserved communities, remain unaware of the pathways that lead to participation in the digital workforce.

CONNECT was established to help bridge this gap by introducing communities to virtual assistance and remote work opportunities, while equipping aspiring professionals with the skills, guidance, and support needed to participate in the global digital economy.
