Good evening, Directors!
I’d like to propose something a little different for our August 1 meeting.
Instead of creating another promotional video or having one person introduce CONNECT at every meeting or event, I’d like us to create what I believe could become one of our most valuable long term assets.
I want us to record a conversation among the leadership team about CONNECT.
Not a formal interview.
Not a scripted presentation.
Not a panel discussion.
I want it to feel as though our audience has been invited to sit at our table and simply listen as we talk about why CONNECT exists, what we hope to accomplish, and why each of us has chosen to be part of this mission.
The goal is to create an evergreen video that we can use wherever we go.
Whether we’re meeting with a mayor, a school, a business, a church, a community organization, or a potential sponsor, we can begin by playing this conversation. Even if only a few of us are present, the rest of the leadership team will still be there through the video.
Instead of explaining CONNECT from the beginning every single time, CONNECT will introduce itself.
After the video, those attending the meeting can briefly introduce themselves and share how their role contributes to the mission.
I believe this will create a stronger, more professional, and more consistent experience for everyone we meet. More importantly, it shows that CONNECT is built on a leadership team united by one vision, not by one spokesperson.
This isn’t about memorizing lines or delivering speeches. It’s simply about sharing our hearts, our experiences, and why we believe in what we’re building together.
Our Director for International Relations will also be able to join us virtually so that she can be part of the conversation despite being in the United States.
If we do this well, this won’t just be a video for one event. It will become part of CONNECT’s identity and something we can use for years as we build partnerships and expand our impact.
I’ll send the production flow for the video this weekend.
